Meet Our TeamBuild inspections are thorough evaluations conducted at various stages of the construction process to ensure that the work meets Australian Standards, the State Building Authority’s Guide to Standards and Tolerances, and your contract specifications.
Build inspections are crucial for maintaining quality control throughout the construction process, identifying issues early, and ensuring that the build adheres to the highest standards and contract requirements.
The build inspection package includes inspections at five key stages: pre-pour, slab/frame, lockup/pre-plaster, fixing/waterproofing, and final inspection.
During a pre-pour inspection, the inspector evaluates the foundation preparations to ensure they meet the required standards before concrete is poured, verifying that all elements are correctly positioned and reinforced.
The slab/frame inspection involves checking the structural integrity of the slab and frame, ensuring that all components are correctly installed and comply with the design specifications and building standards.
The lockup/pre-plaster inspection is important because it verifies that the building is properly sealed and that all internal structures are correctly positioned before plastering, ensuring that the construction is on track and free from major defects.
The fixing/waterproofing inspection checks the installation of fixtures and waterproofing measures, ensuring that they are correctly implemented to prevent future issues such as leaks or structural damage.
The final inspection ensures that the completed construction meets all contractual, regulatory, and quality standards, confirming that the home is ready for handover and occupancy without significant issues.
Build inspections help save money by identifying and addressing issues early in the construction process, preventing costly repairs and delays later on.
